A Declaration of Purpose
Why are we here? A question that has not only plagued the most elite minds to have ever graced this planet with their presence but a question that creeps into the minds of the common few, as well. Why is anything here? To what purpose do we or the things we do have on our society or for that matter, the universe? To this question, I say...
Who knows?!
What I do know, and more importantly believe, is that whether we think that what we are doing has an impact on anything or not, the more important thing is that we are doing something. To live and not create and to not put anything back into the universe is as much of a crime as stealing a candy bar without putting up the money to actually pay for it.
All of this crap that I just spewed out leads to why I have created Reanimated Cerebral Annotations. RCA has been created to serve as a "new age" zine that sheds light to music that otherwise dwells in the shadows. Notes from the underground, if you will. For as many bands and artists out there who make the cover of the Rolling Stone or show up on tv or tour on the expense of a major label, there are thousands upon thousands of bands and artists who do not and probably deserve those accolades more.
So I decided to do my part to put those thousands upon thousands out there into the universe. To create something that gives a little bit back to them and shows that people are listening.
We'll see how it goes. This could be great....or just another fucking blog. And trust me, that is something the universe does not need more of.
